This is a water-based sealant designed to reduce sound transmissions in walls and partition systems. The primary function is to achieve and maintain the specific STC (Sound Transmission Class) value of the system design. Use this sealant for exposed and unexposed applications at perimeter joints floor and ceiling runner cut-outs in gypsum board veneer plaster systems and other areas where a sound rated assembly is required. This nonstaining nonmigrating formula will not harden crack or separate. It is Classified UL and carries a high degree of adhesive and cohesive strength. Fire resistant: Conforms to requirements of ASTM E 84 Class A. Application Temperature: 40 deg. F. minimum Service temperature: -5 deg. F. to 170 deg. F.
